Learning to take my own advice

One of the suggestions in my last post was to cook your meals ahead of time. Well I did just that this weekend. It makes it so much easier to put a meal together. I made chicken and rice, meatballs, bbq ribs, chili, baked apples and blueberry muffins. We ate a little and I froze the rest for later. This is such a time saver as it's just as easy to make one batch as it is to make three or four at the same time.

All for now.

Holiday Stress Overload

With the Holiday Season in full swing I thought this would be a good time to offer some stress reduction ideas. Remember, this is a time for family and friends to be together and it should be enjoyable. If it becomes overwhelming, then you need to take a good long look at your situation and start making necessary changes.

Learn to say NO. You do not have to accept every invitation or make an appearance at each and every event. Pick and choose.

Simplify your meals. Cook ahead so you only have to re-heat.

Ask for help. I repeat, ASK for HELP!

Till next time.

Fall frenzy

I can't believe how fast this month is going. It won't be long and it will be a new year.

This week's tip................

Take a breather and make your life slow down a little bit. Enjoy the simple things and don't let the "big" things get you down. Remember, write your list and get jobs done one piece at a time. With a little planning you will not only get through the holiday season, you just might be able to enjoy some of it. Oh, and don't forget to ask for help when time gets short.

Happy Thanksgiving.
Till next week

Weekly Tip

With the Holiday's just around the corner, our stress levels will be elevated and we may not even notice right away. Here is one way to reduce your exposure.

Avoid contact with negative people.

Till next week.

Applicable on so many levels

All Truth Goes Through Three Stages...

1. It is ridiculed

2. It is violently opposed

3. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident

To me the moral of this story is to believe in what you feel is right and sooner or later all the other's will come around.

Weekly Tip

Whether we are ready or not, morning always rolls around. If you find yourself frantic trying to get ready for your day each morning then get into the habit of preparing the night before. Choose what you will wear and have it ready before you go to bed. Plan your lunch and have everything waiting by the door so you are not searching for keys or shoes at the last minute. A little preparedness will eliminate a lot of stress.
