How are you doing with your Resolutions?

The holidays are over and hopefully things are settling back into a normal routine.

Did you make any resolutions for the New Year? Are you waiting for the Chinese New Year to do so?

If you did set some goals for 2011, are you sticking with it?

There is always a lot of fuss about this subject in December and early January and then it seems that the ball is dropped and people just let it go. We all have good intentions and that should be what counts BUT if you feel as though you have failed when you don't keep your resolutions or meet your goals then you have completely defeated the entire purpose.

Change does not have to be difficult. Sometimes slow and steady is better than all out.

Holiday stress

The holidays can cause stress for even the most organized person so we all need to take a step back, a deep breath and keep moving forward. The biggest thing to remember is there are only so many hours in a day and sometimes you just can't do it all.

So, how can you avoid getting totally overwhelmed? Here are a few suggestions.

Keep a running list of the things you need to get done. Prioritize the list and work top to bottom.

Be realistic with what items you place on the list. You can't possibly do it all in a day or two. Start early.

During the holidays (and the rest of the year) take a break and do a little something nice for yourself.

Giving is always a good thing. You can give your time, money or possessions but don't feel pressured to do so.

Remember that the world won't come to an end if every little detail isn't perfect. Have a good time and enjoy your friends and family.

Happy Holidays!
